Here are our simple guidelines:
1) Keep It Relevant
Submit articles about policy analysis, international relations, think tank research, or geopolitical developments.
2) Simple Formatting
- Submit as a Word document (.docx) or paste into email body
- Use simple formatting (Times New Roman 12pt or your default)
- No indentation
- No bullet points in article body
- Links should be embedded like this, not bare URLs
3) Include Your Bio
Add a short paragraph about yourself with:
- Your email address
- Website or professional profile (optional)
- Relevant background or affiliation (optional)
4) Linking to Sources (Optional but Recommended)
Including links to authoritative sources significantly improves your chances of publication. If you make specific claims, cite data, or reference reports, please link to:
- Government documents
- UN reports
- Think tank analyses
- Academic studies
- Major news outlets
Note: Articles with embedded source links have much better acceptance rates.
5) Basic Requirements
- Length: 800-1,200 words
- Title: Give your article a clear title
- Content: Well-written and informative
6) Original vs. Previously Published
Original submissions are preferred. These are published as-is with your byline.

Views expressed in articles represent the author’s opinions and do not reflect ThinkTanksMonitor’s positions or endorsements.
8) Don’t Give Up
If we don’t publish your first submission, keep writing! Acceptance depends on timing, current coverage needs, and editorial priorities at any given moment.
9) Follow Up
Haven’t heard back in 7-10 days? Send us a quick follow-up email. Sometimes things get busy with breaking news.
Reprints & Previously Published Work
If your article was already published elsewhere:
- Let us know the original source
- Provide the original publication date
- Confirm you have permission to republish (if needed)
- Include proper attribution
We occasionally republish exceptional pieces from other outlets.
Compensation
Most articles are published without payment. If you need compensation, let us know when you submit so we can discuss it.
